Not Posted Much Lately

Sorry to you all for not posting too much on here the past weeks, I have been working on a new version which I hope to have finished soon, Inshallah.

The start of the year Jan Feb was a bit quiet on the wind front but we did have some epic wave days for SUP and Surfing proving once again that Mauritius can provide the perfect playground.

March also produced some incredible days out on the SUP, fully addicted to it now (almost sad when its windy) NOT!!! However it is a fantastic alternative sport for a windsurfer who can’t take off on a surfboard for toffee.

I absolutely love going for either a paddle or putting a 5.2 on one and riding the waves out in Small Reef when we have very light wind. Some old school kneel down sail down surf the wave or hop round the sail and ride on the wrong side back winded happy days!!

The past week has bought some windy days 17-22 knots and the swell has come back as well so figures crossed the wind holds up for a while.

The last few session have been out on my 90 liter wave freestyle from Mark Nelson (dream machine Mark everyone should have one of your boards) with a 5.9 riding Small Reef at 1 to 2 meters nothing huge but big enough sometimes to have some real out and out fun without stressing about busting something including the bank while trying to learn some new stuff.

The next week looks like its going to be fantastic down here in Le Morne so throw away that paperwork jump on a plane and get down to0 the European Maui for some sun and waves.

Checkout the latest pics etc on the WindHut Facebook Group

Best wishes and happy windsurfing.
