This information is a guide to Le Morne to try and help those independent travellers inform themselves prior to arriving on Mauritius, not all combination’s of weather have been taken into account so take this as a general guide and not a definitive set of rules, after all nature is unpredictable and we have to enjoy our time in harmony with it.

If you have been looking around the web for infos on Le Morne the world famous spot situated on the South of Mauritius then look no further you are in the right place.

Le Morne offers a wide variety of windsurfing, kite surfing and surfing opportunities all within easy reach and without the need to drive from one place to the next. Posted by Buzz Tue, 14 Jul 2009 12:10:00 GMT

We have been very lucky to enjoy the company of the great Greek Olympic Gold medalist here at Le Morne the past weeks.

Nikos visited us not that long ago and loves Mauritius so much he can’t stay away. He really is a man with a great passion for the sea and windsurfing and brings a real positive vibe to the beach.

For me its really great to see someone like Nikos always happy to help people, answer their questions and sail with them, especially out in Manawa.

It was a pleasure to see you at Le Morne Nikos and we look forward to seeing you again later in the year for some more Manawa action hehehe.

If you want to read more about Nikos and his achievements here is his official website. www.kaklamanakis.gr

happy hour pic from Friday at the Indian Resort Club MIstral

Well what can we say, after Felix trying for 4 years and me for 1 and half years finally with the support of the GM and the F&B Manager at the Indian Resort we have been able to hold a happy hour well a happy couple of hours. The hotel have made a special deal on local brand drinks such as Phonenix beer buy one get one free, we also have the use of the big screen and projector so we can all watch the action filmed by the team at Club Mistral in a relaxed atmosphere after a hard week on the water.

Of course the team from Club Mistral are around for a beer hmmm I mean to chat to, ask advice on kitesurfing, windsurfing and surfing and to just generally enjoy a nice evening with everyone who comes. We take time during the week to film whats going on in the spot, be it windless glassy surfing heaven or 30 knots arms out of your sockets weather.

For those of you who do not know Le Morne is a pretty quiet place with the nearest night life being over at Flik En Flak so it is really great we now have the use of the bar on a Friday. Big thanks to the team at the Indian Resort who are supporting this its FAB. If you are on Mauritius and fancy a beer or two with a bunch of beach bums feel free to join in everyone is welcome.

Best wishes and happy windsurfing

Few pics of Buzz at Le Morne Mauritius

Posted by Buzz Tue, 07 Jul 2009 18:03:00 GMT

Just a few pics from a previous session in the Lagoon and Small Reef. As I said in a previous post got a bit distracted with Facebook so will catch up a little on here and then add some new juicy stuff from the current season, which is shaping up to be a windy one hehe.

These pics were very kindly taken by Ernstfried Prade the original designer of the Mistral M dot while he was over here in Mauritius doing a photo shoot for some of the new Mistral Fashion thanks Ernstfried very much they are really great especially as I don’t get so many chances to have some nice pics taken during the busy season at the centre.

Anyways today another windy one, we had a good 19 knots average with some nice 2 to 2.5 meter waves in Small Reef, also with the SE swell we had the past couple of days Manawa was working really nice as well. The wind looks set to stay the next week so fingures crossed some more good times to be had by all on the water here in the paradise spot of Mauritius.
